Look what’s going on at the Library…

With your wireless computer and your ebook device, you can download ebooks from the collection in the Mid-York Catalog, free of charge! Go to www.midyork.org to get more information and to find out about compatibility. You can also call the library and we will be glad to give you the latest information.

FYI :  Starting February 10, 2012, Penguin will no longer offer additional copies of eBooks and download audiobooks for library purchase. Additionally, Penguin eBooks loaned for reading on Kindle devices will need to be downloaded to a computer then transferred to the device over USB. For library patrons, this means Penguin eBooks will no longer be available for over-the-air delivery to Kindle devices or to Kindle apps.

Valentine Basket: Marlys Pronko was the lucky winner of the Valentine Basket. She is generously sharing the contents with others. The raffle was very successful and we raised enough money to invite Melanie Zimmer and her Dancing Bear Puppet Theater back again this summer.

Melanie and her friends will perform The Race to the Moon starring  Roquefort the mouse who loves two things the most – a delicious round of cheese and the moon. She will be in the Jordanville Library on July 11th at 6 p.m.

Leon Etienne will bring the magic back to us on July 25th. Because of the anticipated crowd, we will move the show to the community room of the Federated Church. Mark your calendars now so you don’t miss out!

On August 4th, the Utica Zoomobile will again come to the Library lawn with some nocturnal animals! That will fit in with this years reading themes of Dream Big – Read!, Own the Night for teens, and Between the Covers for Adults.
