Actor Kim Tenreiro in A Christmas Carol
On Thursday, December 12, at 7 p.m., Oneida Public Library and the Oneida Community Mansion House will co-host the virtuoso performance of Kim Tenreiro in a one-person dramatization of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol in the Big Hall of the Mansion House, 170 Kenwood Ave., Oneida. Admission and parking across Kenwood Ave. from the Mansion House are free.

Watercolors by Ruth Donovan
Oneida artist Ruth Donovan will display and offer for sale originals and reprints of her accomplished work in watercolors.

Holiday Family Story Hour
Tuesday at 7 p.m.
For the 33rd annual Holiday Story Hour, Ginny Pendleton hosts an evening of songs and stories for children and their parents, with special guests and a visit from Santa Claus. Refreshments will be served.
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Monday at 6 p.m.
Sarah Davies Hasegawa makes a special appearance at Oneida Library to portray Sally from the Peanuts gang for an old-fashioned Charlie Brown Christmas, complete with music, games and refreshments.
Book Talk with Mary Rose Zalvis
Tuesday at 2 p.m.
Oneida Library hosts a tea for Mary Rose Zalvis of Oneida upon the publication of her memoirs, Scattered Hayseeds, which covers the story of her long life in Central New York. The public is invited to attend.

Dew Foundation steps up
to pledge $60,000
On behalf of the Donald Hicks Dew Foundation, Donald H. Dew recently pledged $60,000 to the Oneida Public Library Capital Campaign for the construction of a new 18,000 square foot library facility at 456 Elizabeth St. and Main St.
In the photo above, Dew (center) passed on a ceremonial check to Eileen Kinsella (left), OPL board president, and OPL director Carolyn Gerakopoulos (right) on the new library site just off Main St.
Dew, former chairman and chief executive officer of Diemolding Corp., is the principal officer of the Dew Foundation, a private family trust that contributes funding to local educational, social and health organizations.
Gorman Foundation donates $200,000 to building fund
Officers of the Gorman Foundation recently joined with Oneida Public Library leaders to announce the foundation's $200,000 pledge to the Oneida Public Library Capital Campaign, which is raising funds for the construction of a new library facility on the purchased lot between 456 Elizabeth St. and Main St.

OPL Trustees meet Nov. 21
The Oneida Public Library Board of Trustees will hold its next monthly meeting on Thursday, November 21, at 5:00 p.m. in the library's Local History Room. The public is invited to attend.
